Ammonite is approximately 300 million years old, origin Madagascar. The fossil is cut in half and polished to expose the structure and secondary crystallization. Under tectonic pressure crystallized Calcite has appeared (SEPTARIUM) within the ventricles ammonite. VERY nice piece with a rich crystallization, SEPTARIUM in orange brown! Diameter cca. 20 cm. With metal stand.
